My focus in counseling and therapy is on how relationships shape people, especially by early life attachments. I provide space to process the trauma that often occurs in important relationships (physical and emotional) that wound people for a long time after. To help clients I teach boundaries, communication, and join them in grief. I have also worked with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, children, and couples. I am able to provide a specialized form of therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is effective in helping people who are stuck in the terrible experiences they’ve suffered. In addition to this I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor for other clinicians in the state of North Carolina, and offer supervision to help clinicians to achieve full licensure.
I live in the piedmont of North Carolina. I have a wife and son, and two cats. If you seek me out for services, I look forward to meeting with you! I primarily practice in Clemmons, NC at 2570 Harper Road, but am also available for video counseling.I am also able to provide telehealth services to anyone located in SC (you can find the verification of this registration here). I accept insurance through a processing company called "Headway," and am able to take UHC, Aetna, Cigna, and BCBS.

I am SYMBIS certified which can help couples who are in the premarital stage. I am trained in Levels I and II Gottman methods. I am currently in the process of becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
My primary focus is helping individuals and couples who are struggling with enjoying their sex life, such as low sexual arousal disorder and erectile dysfunction. On top of this area, I have experience working with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The treatment methods I use range depending on the person(s) and what works best for them.
I use a direct and challenging therapeutic approach while providing a safe space with positive energy. I use a lot of cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness approaches as I am most familiar with these.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and animals, playing video games, reading, and writing.
I look forward to working with you and helping you on your journey!
